As its first high season comes to an end, the new gallery, Caballito de Mar, wishes to thank both residents and visitors for a very successful beginning. Caballito de Mar, located at Aldama 162, Colonia Centro, offers a unique collection of Mexican antique silver, Mexican ceramics by Great Masters of Mexican folk art and other emerging ceramists as well as new and vintage textiles.
Our mission is to support a variety of artists engaged in the production of crafts which are the heart and soul of Mexico. Our first six months have been filled with unexpected prosperity, introductions to incredible people, and satisfaction that we are achieving our goal to support important Mexican art forms.
The gallery is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 11:00 – 6:00, Art Walk Wednesday from 2:00 - 10:00 as well as Saturday from 10:00 - 2:00pm.
