Miralo… more than just a store

The words simply unique have been used to describe Miralo; “simply unique” is even more fitting now than ever.

Miralo is a studio gallery of arts and gifts that is located in Centro; a block from the main plaza and church at Iturbide #236-A (across the street from the fabric store Parisina).

Míralo has a wonderful selection of contemporary Mexican arts and fine crafts from many regions of Mexico. But a main focus of the gallery is the mosaic decorative art of Rodolfo Rosas Hernandez. (www.miralopv.com)

The new location of Míralo has allowed mosaic artist, Rodolfo Rosas, to move his studio to Miralo where he creates his wonderful art. What makes Miralo even more “simply unique” is that Rodolfo offers demonstrations and workshops on creating stained glass mosaic art.

His monthly demonstrations are free as he explains his process of creating his stained glass mosaics. Several times a year, Rodolfo shares his expertise in presenting workshops on creating mosaics. Each participant in the workshop creates their own piece of mosaic art while they learn glass cutting techniques to finishing techniques as Rodolfo gives to each student his individual attention. Detailed information on the demonstrations and workshops may be found online at www.miralopv.com.

Miralo has really been blessed since January by the generosity of its customer friends who have been contributing to the effort to donate to the Regional Hospital. In conjunction with Pamela Thompson of Health Care Resources (www.healthcareresourcespv.com), Míralo is collecting donations for the newborn babies at the Regional Hospital for the entire year of 2011. They are collecting receiving blankets, “onesies” newborn clothing, infant Tylenol (Infantil Paracetamol in PV), and infant powdered milk.

The Regional Hospital provides service to those that cannot afford other medical facilities.
It is operated by the State of Jalisco on a very limited budget and has many needs all year long.

Much appreciated donations may be dropped off at Miralo any time during 2011.

Wonderful contemporary Mexican arts and crafts, beautiful decorative stained glass mosaic art by Rodolfo Rosas Hernandez, workshops and demonstrations, and a donation location for the Regional Hospital; that is truly what makes Miralo “simply unique”.
